Responsible use of information and clear channels for concerns.
These notices explain how the public website handles enquiries, publications, privacy, cookies, safeguarding concerns and complaints.
Privacy notice
Information you choose to provide.
The website does not ask visitors to create an account. When you submit an enquiry form, AFLI securely receives and stores the details you provide, which may include your name, organisation, country, email address, thematic interest and message. Basic technical information may also be recorded to protect the service against abuse.
AFLI should use this information only to review and respond to the enquiry, maintain an appropriate institutional record, protect the service and meet applicable legal or accountability obligations. Access should be limited to authorised personnel, and records should be retained only for as long as they are needed for those purposes. Do not include sensitive personal information unless it is necessary and you are authorised to share it.
Website terms
Public information provided in good faith.
The website provides general institutional, programme and policy information. It does not constitute legal, financial or investment advice. Drafts, proposals and historical records are identified where relevant and should not be treated as current Government policy or a binding institutional commitment.
AFLI may correct or update website information as records are reviewed. External links are provided for convenience; AFLI is not responsible for the availability or content of third-party websites.
Copyright and publication use
Read, cite and share responsibly.
Unless a publication states otherwise, copyright remains with the Africa Leadership Institute or the identified rights-holder. Public documents may be downloaded for personal, educational, policy and non-commercial research use with proper attribution. Content must not be altered, presented out of context or used to imply endorsement.

Safeguarding and complaints
Raise a concern through a clear institutional channel.
Safeguarding concerns, complaints about AFLI-supported activities, publication corrections and concerns about staff or partner conduct may be sent to info@aflinstitute.org. Mark the subject line “Safeguarding concern”, “Complaint” or “Publication correction” as appropriate.
Provide only the information necessary to identify the matter. If there is an immediate risk to a person’s safety, contact the relevant emergency or statutory authority in the country concerned.
